Lenz in a nutshell

Lenz is a cultural innovation firm whose purpose is to help build a world where decisions would be made more excited about the future than limited by history.

Lenz offers unique projects for students and companies. Lenz connects students and client companies in a way where students get access to meaningful jobs and companies get real value and fresh business ideas all the way to practice.

At Lenz, we strongly believe that the only effective way to lead and help others grow is by being an example yourself. We also do not believe that culture can be defined, but must instead be led by example. Lenz strives to act as an example for both people and companies and also encourage both to grow into a better version of themselves. At its core, Lenz exists to serve people, because companies are also made of them.

Our vision

Lenz’s vision is a world where decisions are made more excited about the future than limited by history. We want to see an equal working world, where the spirit of doing things with an entrepreneurial spirit flourishes. Our vision is a working life where work experience is not always everything. Lenz by no means belittles the importance of work experience, but rather wants to bring the appreciation of potential alongside the appreciation of work experience. Our goal is to participate in building a working life where value is created by experience and potential together.

Our Values

When talking about culture, the most important thing is to understand that culture is what you do, not what you say. When we started the process of defining our values, we researched a lot what values actually mean, and the difference between values and virtues (value vs. virtue) came up, which spoke to us a lot. A value means something – like e.g. a goal – that is perceived as important. Virtues, on the other hand, are behaviors that demonstrate high moral standards. At Lenz, our values guide our daily activities and support our decision-making. So they are not only a goal or a thing, but really the way we behave and treat others, i.e. more like virtues. We involved all Lenz members in the definition and selection of our values, and based on an iterative process and many discussions, we ended up with four wonderful value-virtues, behind which each of us stands:

Lenz talk about trust!

Trust is everything to us, to say the least. It is our value on which all our actions are based. At Lenz, trust does not have to be earned, but we feel that everyone involved in our operations are fundamentally worthy of our trust, be it our colleagues, customers or applicants. We trust each other, stakeholders, Lenz and the future, even in difficult or uncertain situations. For us, trust means transparency and openness, flexibility, freedom to be yourself and, above all, taking care of each other!

For us at Lenz, community is a great strength. We consider it a very significant achievement that we have built a real super community for Lenz, where the members of our work community feel good, despite the fact that we work completely remotely. We have common rules of the game and involve everyone in decisions about Lenz. Open communication is really important to us and we encourage everyone to express their opinion, of course while respecting others. We support and take care of each other both at work and outside of work. At Lenz, we are constantly working for our community and we are very proud of it!
